FAQ
Storage space for all projects will be unlimited for Box.
If you have a large or difficult-to-move dataset, please reach out to 6-TECH@uncg.edu for assistance.
At UNCG, the use of Box is limited to faculty, staff and students who need to store data for any funded or unfunded research project.
Box is the primary storage platform for Research data at UNCG. Therefore we strongly recommend keeping your data there if possible. However, we understand that every Research project is different and has unique needs. If your Research project has a strong case for being stored in another UNCG approved storage platform that is also allowed.
To that end, ITS provides several data storage services to meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff. Generally, these fall into two categories based on the location of the data: cloud storage (e.g. M365) and UNCG on-premises network storage (i.e. MyFiles).
