Microsoft Clipchamp
Microsoft Clipchamp is a video editor designed to make video creation easy for everyone, even for those with no prior editing experience. It allows you to combine video assets, images, and audio files together, as well as to add visual effects like text overlays, transitions, and filters. You can also add royalty-free stock videos, music, sound effects, stickers, overlays, backgrounds, and more. When you’ve finished editing, you can easily save videos directly to your device or to OneDrive.

How to Access
Clipchamp can be accessed using your UNCG account online in your browser (optimized for Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome) or as a Windows desktop or iPhone app.
Downloads
- Windows Desktop App. Clipchamp is available as a free desktop app for Windows 10 and Windows 11. It integrates with the Windows Start menu and even the Photos app for quick access.
- iPhone App. Clipchamp is available as a mobile version for iPhone users, available through the App Store.

While you can’t directly upload external caption files like .srt into Clipchamp at the moment, Clipchamp offers an autocaptions feature that uses AI to generate subtitles from your video’s audio. Once generated, you can then edit and customize those captions right inside the editor.

Yes! You can use videos stored in your OneDrive in Canvas by first adding them to your Canvas My Library and then adding them to Canvas Studio through a Canvas page’s Rich Content Editor or as an External Tool in the Modules page. Yes. As of mid-2025, Microsoft Stream and Clipchamp have been unified into a single video platform within Microsoft 365, and it’s all branded as Clipchamp.
