How to Access

To access Microsoft OneDrive visit onedrive.uncg.edu and log in using your UNCG credentials.

Microsoft OneDrive desktop and mobile applications can be installed from Application Catalog (Windows)Jamf Self Service (macOS), or downloaded directly from Microsoft’s OneDrive webpage.

If you have installed OneDrive but don’t see your files in Windows Explorer, you may wish to set up a folder in Explorer that points to your OneDrive files.

This process involves logging into OneDrive via the icon in the system tray and setting up a folder. After completing the process, a new folder called OneDrive – UNCG will appear in the Explorer sidebar and contain your OneDrive files.

ITS provides several data storage services to meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff. Generally, these fall into two categories based on the location of the data: cloud storage (e.g. M365) and UNCG on-premises network storage (i.e. MyFiles).

Microsoft 365 has a data security feature called Sensitivity Labels. These labels have been customized to align with the University’s Data Classification Levels (L1-L4). Applying a sensitivity label ensures the file adheres to the specific sharing and handling protocols associated with that classification level.

Yes! You can use videos stored in your OneDrive in Canvas by first adding them to your Canvas My Library and then adding them to Canvas Studio through a Canvas page’s Rich Content Editor or as an External Tool in the Modules page.
