Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor

LockDown Browser

Respondus LockDown Browser is a secure web browser that prevents students from printing, copying, going to another URL, or accessing other applications while taking online exams in Canvas. When the LockDown Browser is enabled, students will be required to download and use the application to take the assessment.

Monitor

Respondus Monitor is an automated proctoring feature that can be turned on when using the LockDown Browser. Monitor uses the student’s webcam to create a recording of the student’s behavior while they are taking the test.
