ITS: Learning Technology offers administration and support for tools and services that enhance learning through the use of technology. In addition, we offer workshops and consultations for instructors using ITS-supported software for teaching and learning.

Our Learning Platforms team are the unsung heroes behind your digital classroom at UNCG! They keep courses running smoothly, manage instructional tools like Canvas, Respondus, Turnitin, and Adobe Creative Campus, and support faculty, staff, and students with expert training and troubleshooting. Rest assured, they will ensure your learning experience is always on track.
Software @ UNCG
Instructional Tools that are supported campus-wide are listed below. Select a tool category to filter the list of tools. Click “Learn more” within a tool’s card to open a page containing tutorials, technical support information, and accessibility and privacy statements.
Other approved tools can be found at software.uncg.edu. Instructors who want to use a tool not listed below must submit a purchase request through ITS.

| Respondus LockDown Browser and Monitor | Respondus LockDown Browser is an application that prevents students from accessing other websites, tools, and resources while taking online quizzes. Respondus Monitor uses the student’s webcam to monitor a student’s behavior while they are taking the test. |
| Turnitin | Turnitin is plagiarism detection software that integrates with Canvas and scans student work for matched text by comparing the work to a large database of student work, publications, and materials on the internet. |
| UDOIT | The Universal Design Online content Inspection Tool, or UDOIT (pronounced “You Do It”), helps faculty identify accessibility issues in Canvas course content. |
